Telluride, CO

HI, guys! I just came back from Colorado. I was there shooting new Ralph Lauren Eyewear ads. Location was SO beautiful! I want to share few pics with you ;D

I arrive in Montrose, CO by United airlines.

Then we drove 1 hour by car to Telluride. The landscape was so magical! Mountains with white snow tops, pine trees and mountain rivers.

Hotel we stayed in is Lumiere Telluride (lumiere.com). Ski resort, located at the base of the mountain.

Here is view to the mountain from my hotel room

We did a quick fitting, the rest of the afternoon was free. So we decided to go to the town. We took gondola ride to get there.

The town was very cute. Alot of vintage shops, cafes, natural skin care stores and pharmacies, jewlery and home decor. I really liked this leather goods shop. I bought a leather belt, also couple of summer tops and earrings.

Next day we shot at the beautiful ranch with the most gorgeous scenery!

Bye, Telluride! You are fun! Kisses, Valentina XX

Good morning, beauties! Having cantaloupe smoothie (again!) so Yummy! 1/2 cantaloupe (skin and seeds removed) / 1 cup almond milk / pinch of sea salt / pinch of vanilla powder ( be careful with vanilla, it can easily overpower the taste if smoothie)

I was going through my old notebook and found this quote. I don’t remember where I got this from but I thought it was very moving and beautiful and I want to share it with you guys:
“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they are meant to be”

Green Smoothie Recipe for Breakfast

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 perfectly ripe pears
  • 1-2 nectarines (stone fruit season is HERE! YAY!!)
  • 1/4 lemon (Remove the skin but try to leave white pith on, it contains  valuable fiber, which helps to remove toxins)
  • handful of spinach
  • 2 stalks of kale*
  • 1 cup pure water

In high speed blender place all ingredients, starting with juicy fruits first, it will blend easily.

*NOTE when using kale for smoothies, I like to remove leaves from the stalk , that woody part of the kale. I think it’s just blends better and more smooth. see the pic below

Lunch at Pure Food and Wine

“Pure Food and Wine” is one of my favorites! All raw menu with seasonal ingredients, impressive salads, creative entrées,  fresh juices and the most incredible desserts!

For lunch I had this enormous salad with mixed greens and herbs. You can’t  tell by the picture, but trust me, this salad was HUGE! I asked to add cucumbers, tomatoes and avocado. It was totally satisfying and yummy!

I sat at the garden, which located just behind the main space. If you are wondering, this is VERY New York to be seated at the garden and be surrendered by brick walls. I personally think it adds charming atmosphere. I think “Pure Food and Wine” did a great job by creating this space. It feels very zen!

Besides, with always-sunny New York weather it’s really nice to seat outside with trees shadowing you while you enjoying delicious healthy meal with friends:)))
